Most of the items on our web page are made by ourselves or one of several highly skilled crafters with 10 to 25
years of experience. ALL items are made by hand, here in the USA and most right here in Texas.

This wood seems to come in several shaded of Chocolate, but does not seem to darken over time. If it does it does so very slowly and its darkening is not effected by the sun. Maple backed Walnut Longbow - I only have this 1!! - Its a one of a kind

This bow is 70" Tall; and is 42#(lbs.) @ 28"(max. inches of draw).

The bow has a Rock Maple backing strip which is a rich Creamy color.

The Belly of this bow is a beautiful piece of Black Walnut, which varies from deep tan to the classic deep chocolate. Causing a striking contrast between the too woods.

The Grip is a piece of white Ash and has been rounded so that it fits comfortably in almost any hand. The grip is built up to make it more comfortable to shoot, but not so much that it is uncomfortable. It is a medium size grip that people with small and large hands alike have found comfortable.

It also has Black Buffalo Horn Overlays on the tips.

The shape of this bow is more of an American style flat bow with some rounding that is similar to Our E.L.B. crosses. The back is flat, but the belly is semi rounded, (just a hint really. Its hard to explain) The grip/ riser is slightly indented to make the grip more comfortable. The tips are in a square or box shape.

This bow has two coats of hand rubbed Danish oil and three coats of hand rubbed satin finish polyurethane sealer. Making this bow permanently sealed. Bow can be shot right or left handed as it has NO arrow rest.

Hickory or Maple Backed Osage

Most of these bows are currently building out at approx 45#, we have gotten a couple 35# and a couple of 50# +. There is a limited availability on these currently. So please contact us if you want one and see what we have available.

They will have either RocK Maple or Shag Bark Hickory backing strip which is a rich Creamy to rich tan color depending on weather its sap or heart wood.

The Belly of this bow is a beautiful piece of Osage Orange, which starts off a bright yellow and changes over time to a rich chocolaty tan.

The Grips are all built up with another piece of wood and can be just about anything.

OPTIONS

Sinew Wrapped Tip Option - Only available with the purchase of a bow AT the time of purchase

Sinew wrapped tips serve a couple of purposes. On non-backed bows, it keeps the tips from spitting out. This rarely happens, but it is possible, more so with bows over 50#'s. It also serves a decoration while serving as a preventative protection for your bow. Below is a picture so you can see what is would look like.

The Leather Wrapped Handle (grip / riser) helps you with your grip. Making it easier and more comfortable to grip. An arrow rest can also be added by wrapping a wedge of leather to the handle (see picture #2) So when you select this option you will need to specify color and whether you want an arrow rest.

Jute Wrapped Handle Option - Only available with the purchase of a bow AT the time of purchase

$8.00 per bow

The Jute Wrapped Handle (grip / riser) helps you with your grip. It to will making it easier and more comfortable to grip and less likely to slip when your hands are sweating. An arrow rest can also be added when selecting this option by wrapping a wedge of leather to the handle (see picture #2 - above) So when you select this option you will need to specify whether you want an arrow rest.
